What to Know Before Booking a Farm Sitter

Leaving your farm in someone else's hands is a big deal. We get it — these are your animals, your garden, your whole world. Here is how we approach farm sitting to give you total peace of mind.

Before the Sit

Every farm sit starts with a walkthrough. We come to your property at least a week before you leave and go through everything together:

  • Feeding schedules for every animal, including any special diets or medications
  • Water systems — where the hoses are, how the automatic waterers work, backup plans
  • Coop and barn routines — lockup times, egg collection, bedding schedules
  • Emergency contacts — your vet, a backup neighbor, and of course your own phone number
  • Garden care — watering schedules, what is ready to harvest, what to leave alone

During the Sit

We send daily updates with photos. Not generic "everything is fine" texts — actual details. How many eggs, which goat was being dramatic, whether the tomatoes are ripening. You will feel like you are still there (but, you know, on vacation).

Our Promise

Your animals will get the same quality of care they get from you. We have our own farm, our own animals, and we understand that every creature has its own personality and needs. The grumpy hen who only eats from the blue bowl? We will remember.

If anything comes up — a loose fence, a sick animal, an unexpected storm — we handle it and communicate with you immediately. No surprises when you get home.
